Coconut Macaroon Nutella Easter Nests

It’s all about decorating the nests with a dollop of nutella and adding festive “eggs” such as jelly beans, malted milk eggs or even jordan almonds – whatever your family loves to nibble on at Easter time!

Coconut macaroons pressed into a mini muffin pan to create nests for your favorite bite sized candies. After cooled a dollop of nutella is added before the "eggs" are placed into the nest.

Ingredients
  1. Non-stick cooking spray
  2. 4 large egg whites
  3. 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  4. 1 package (14 ounces) sweetened flaked coconut
  5. Nutella
  6. Easter candies such as malted milk eggs, jelly beans or jordan almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Coat mini muffin tins with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, stir together egg whites with salt. Mix in coconut. Drop 2 tablespoons of mixture into each prepared tin.
  3. Lightly press mixture into bottom and up sides of each cup. Bake until lightly golden on top, roughly 28-30 minutes.
  4. Let cool in tins on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then run a thin metal spatula around sides to loosen nests. Lift out of cups, let cool completely.
  5. Once cooled add a dollop of nutella to the nest. Then top with 3-4 of your favorite easter candies or "eggs".
